Architecture Project for the construction of a beauty Centre and Spa
with a building area of 2.000m2 (Lote 12)
and 5.000m2 (Lote13) for the purpose of landscaping gardens.

Project Summary

Ground floor with five distinct functional areas:
 - T
he changing rooms and bathroom area to be used by Members is separated by gender and for the disabled. The access to this area is through a hall/gallery with wide windows into the central open space of the building, which functions as a point of natural Mediterranean light and ventilation.
 -
The area intended for Body Treatments is comprised of 6 beauty rooms, each with private shower and windows facing the garden, protected by a shade structure supported by exterior columns.
The access gallery to the beauty rooms has a triangular roof and a 12 point natural-zenith light, and also a mural fountain covered by “zellii fassi” magrebina tiles.

The cafeteria area, with 96m2 has wide windows facing the garden and a patio facing southeast, which also receives natural light from the central open space of the building and as well from the 8 vault dome shaped ceiling covering the centre of the room. The whole central structure is supported by 8 sectional triangular columns covered in Limestone specific from the region, as are all the columns of this building. An impressive mural fireplace with a heat recuperator centralizes one of the walls of this room.
- The service area comprises of the kitchen and pantry and the employee change rooms.

The vast area of the Hammam, includes 4 specific "Arabic Baths":

                            -  Four Waters' Room
                            -  Relaxation Room

Project Conception

The roofing is entirely traditional,
using typologies of the region: triangular roofs
with Moorish Tiles, barrel-vaults,
domes and terraces.

  

In the exterior the predominant
materials will be traditional and
from the region:
Traditional plaster, Moorish tiles,
“boneco” tile, regional tiles,
lime stonework and the window
frames in projected plaster.
The whole set will be painted in
white and ochre, delimiting as
well the embasement, borders and lime stone frames
and “boneco” cooked brick
